About Us

Lifemapped, founded by Claire Baxter, an HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist, provides forensic psychology and educational services aimed at improving outcomes for people of all ages.

Lifemapped specialises in training children, young people, parents-to-be and parents about the risk of childhood exposure to domestic abuse and the impact this has upon babies children, which increases as as pregnancy develops and into the postpartum period and risks of preterm labour, increased antenatal admission and neonatal risks (Finnbogadóttir and Dykes, 2016; Dahlen, Munoz, Schmied and Thornton, 2016; Alhusen, Ray, Sharps and Bullock, 2015).

We aim to help reduce the intergenerational prevalence of domestic abuse, violence and homicide and reduce the traumatic impact upon children by educating the general public and specific groups at increased risk and at risk of going on to become involved in abusive relationships in the future (e.g. pregnant parents-to-be and the general public) about the poor outcomes, risks and harm that comes to babies and children who are directly or indirectly exposed to domestic violence and abuse.

We also work directly with people that want to achieve lasting behavioural change and goal attainment.
